Morocco dismisses reports of Netanyahu visit

<p>By Khalid Majdoub </p> <p>RABAT (AA) – A government spokesman denied reports Thursday of a planned visit to the kingdom by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.</p> <p>Mustapha al-Khalfi was terse when he responded to reporters at a news conference recent reports in Israeli media suggesting Netanyahu planned to in March or April. “I won’t respond to baseless rumors,” he said.</p> <p>Last month, dozens of Moroccans staged a sit-in outside the parliament building in Rabat to demand Netanyahu not be allowed to enter.</p> <p>Israeli media also recently claimed that Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita met with Netanyahu last September.</p> <p>Israel’s Channel 13 claimed the men held a “secret meeting” on the sidelines of a UN General Assembly meeting in New York — allegations also dismissed by al-Khalfi.</p> <p> </p>
