Mauritanian government resigns

NOUAKCHOTT, Mauritania (AA) – Mauritanian Prime Minister Ismail Ould Bedde Ould Cheikh Sidiya and his Cabinet members resigned on Thursday.

The government of the North African nation of Mauritania submitted its resignation to President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, according to local media.

It is expected that the Mauritanian presidency will announce in the coming hours its acceptance or rejection of the resignation and then assign a new figure to form the government.
