Masked men storm HQ of Gaza’s broadcasting authority

<p>By Mohamed Majid</p> <p>GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) – Unidentified masked men forced their way into the headquarters of the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation in Gaza City on Friday, according to Palestine’s WAFA news agency.</p> <p>The intruders assaulted employees and damaged equipment, WAFA reported without giving further details.</p> <p>Officials from Gaza’s Interior Ministry were not immediately available for comment.</p> <p>Gaza government spokesman Salama Marouf, however, said the authorities were &quot;looking into the incident with a view to finding the perpetrators”.</p> <p>&quot;We have contacted Gaza’s Television Directorate and expressed our condemnation of this unacceptable behavior,&quot; he said in a statement.</p> <p>The official added that the authorities were “fully prepared to offer assistance and reject all attempts to undermine media freedom”.</p>
