Libya PM praises efforts of outgoing Turkish ambassador

TRIPOLI (AA) – Prime Minister Fayez al-Sarraj has praised the efforts of outgoing Turkish Ambassador to Libya Ahmed Dogan to bolster relations between the two countries.

Al-Sarraj made the remarks at a farewell ceremony held for Dogan on Wednesday.

Dogan, for his part, thanked al-Sarraj, expressing his appreciation for the latter’s efforts to restore security and stability to war-torn Libya and consolidate ties between Tripoli and Ankara.

At a Tuesday meeting between UN Envoy to Libya Ghassan Salame and Dogan, the latter voiced Turkey’s continued support for the UN’s action plan on Libya.
