KUWAIT (AA) – Kuwait’s Health Ministry on Tuesday confirmed the detection of two infections from the more contagious variant of the novel coronavirus.
Ministry spokesman Abdullah Al-Sanad said in a statement that two Kuwaiti women coming from the UK tested positive for the new strain.
He said health quarantine measures have been applied in line with the country’s health protocols.
Kuwait has so far registered 158,244 cases from the coronavirus, including 948 deaths, and 151,496 recoveries.
