RIYADH (AA) – Jordanian King Abdullah II arrived in Saudi capital Riyadh on Wednesday on an unscheduled visit for talks with Saudi King Salman bin Abdelaziz.

Discussions between the two monarchs are expected to tackle recent regional developments and means of bolstering bilateral relations, the official Saudi Press Agency reported.

No details were available regarding the duration of the Jordanian king’s visit to the oil-rich kingdom.

Jordan is a member of a Saudi-led military coalition established last year to fight the Shia Houthi group in Yemen and shore up the embattled government of Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.
