AMMAN, Jordan (AA) – The man responsible for a deadly attack on the building of Jordan’s intelligence agency near the capital Amman in June has been sentenced to death by a Jordanian court Thursday.
According to Jordan’s official Petra news agency, the State Security Court’s Attorney General Ziad Adwan said the main defendant Mahmoud Hassan Masharfeh was given the death sentence for the attack, which killed five people
A second defendant, Sami Abdul Rauf Jabr Abu Omar, was sentenced to a year in prison.
