By Leith al-Juneidi</p> <p>AMMAN (AA) – Jordanian King Abdullah II on Monday met with Joseph Votel, head of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), and the latter’s accompanying delegation.</p> <p>Held at Amman’s Husseiniya Palace, Monday’s meeting tackled bilateral relations, especially in the military arena, according to a subsequent statement released by Jordan’s Royal Court.</p> <p>The two sides also reportedly discussed regional developments and the ongoing fight against terrorism.</p> <p>The Jordanian authorities did not announce Votel’s arrival in advance, nor have they issued any statements regarding the expected duration of his stay.
