NABLUS, Palestine (AA) – Israeli troops on Saturday fired rubber bullets wounding a Palestinian in West Bank city of Nablus.

According to village council head Hafiz Salah, tensions rose after an attack from nearby Tzur Yitzhak Jewish settlement.

When Palestinian villagers protested, Israeli troops used tear gas and fired rubber bullets to disperse the crowd.

“One of the villagers was wounded by a rubber bullet while many others were affected by the gas, ” he said.

Israeli residents living in the Jewish settlements in West Bank, which are recognized as illegal by the international community, frequently attack Palestinian homes, agricultural zones and vehicles.
