Israel concludes weeklong exercise along Lebanon border

<p>By Abdelraouf Arnaout</p> <p>JERUSALEM (AA) – The Israeli army on Friday wrapped up a weeklong military exercise along the Lebanese border.</p> <p>“Commanders and soldiers received training in occupying and clearing areas, engaging enemy forces, and evacuating wounded while under fire,&quot; army spokesman Avichay Adraee said in a statement.</p> <p>According to the spokesman, this week’s exercise was the final stage of a larger four-month training initiative carried out at the brigade level.</p> <p>For the past year, the Israeli army has conducted several military exercises simulating combat along the Syrian, Lebanese and Gazan fronts.</p>
