KIRKUK, Iraq (AA) – Iraqi security forces killed 12 Daesh terrorists Friday in the southwestern province of Kirkuk, officials said.
They included four senior members of the terror group, according to a statement from the Defense Ministry.
Also, a large cache of ammunition was seized in a shelter near Havice district of Kirkuk, the statement added.
In late 2017, officials in Baghdad declared that Daesh's military presence in Iraq had been all but destroyed following a three-year war with the terror group.
