ISTANBUL (AA) – Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has shelled positions of the Daesh terrorist group in eastern Syria’s Deir Ez-Zor province, according to the Iranian television on Monday.

IRGC fired ballistic missiles on Daesh positions in Albu-Kamal area in retaliation for an attack on a military parade that killed at least 25 people in Ahvaz last month.

Fars news agency said the missiles were fired from Iran’s western province of Kermanshah.

On September 22, Iranian media reported that gunmen wearing army uniforms had opened fire on Iranian military personnel taking part in a parade, killing at least 25 people.
