Hospitals treating 71 terror victims in Turkey

ANKARA (AA) – Turkish hospitals are currently treating more than 70 people who were injured in recent terrorist attacks, the health minister said on Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters in Ankara, Recep Akdag said the 71 people are currently in hospital following deadly terror attacks in Istanbul, Kayseri, and Izmir.

At least eight of the hospitalized are in critical condition, Akdag added.

Turkey has suffered several terrorist attacks over the last month in Istanbul, Kayseri and Izmir, killing more than one hundred and injuring dozens of people.

The PKK – listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU – resumed its armed campaign in July 2015 and since then has been responsible for the deaths of around 1,100 security personnel and civilians, including women and children.
