High-level Anadolu Agency delegation visits Taiwan

TAIPEI (AA) – An Anadolu Agency delegation led by one of its top directors arrived in Taiwan Sunday to expand the agency’s cooperation with local media.

Deputy Director General Mustafa Ozkaya, International News Editor-in-Chief Faruk Tokat, and Serdar Mahmutogullari from the Foreign Relations Office arrived in Taipei to sign a memorandum of understanding with Taiwan’s state-owned Central News Agency (CNA).

The delegation will also outline Anadolu’s Pacific expansion and present the new Anadolu World Report News Package along other agency products to the Taiwanese media.

The delegation visited the Taiwan Muslim Society and met with Dr. Ibrahim Chao, the advisor and imam of Taipei’s Grand Mosque, who told them about the country’s Muslim community.

Ozkaya told Chao about Anadolu Agency’s organizing work in the Pacific region as well as its Jakarta office, which is set to manage the agency’s Pacific News Editorial Office.

On Monday and Tuesday the Anadolu Agency delegation will visit Taiwanese press and media organizations as well as various NGOs to present the agency’s products.

After Taiwan, the delegation will proceed with a visit to Vietnam.
