TUNCELI, Turkey (AA) – Rescue teams have reached the wreck of a helicopter that crashed in eastern Turkey earlier Tuesday, martyring all 12 people on board.
The helicopter — which carried seven police officers, one judge, and one army sergeant along with three crew members — may have crashed due to bad weather conditions, the Tunceli Governor’s Office said in a statement earlier in the day.
The Sikorsky-type copter lost communications 10 minutes after taking off at 11.40 a.m. local time (0840GMT).
