Gendarmerie headquarters hit in SE Turkey bomb attack

DIYARBAKIR, Turkey (AA) – A bomb attack hit the gendarmerie headquarters in southeastern Diyarbakir province’s Dicle district Sunday, unnamed security sources said.

According to preliminary reports, some injuries have been reported.

Military residential buildings in the area were also damaged in the blast, the sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity with Anadolu Agency due to restrictions on speaking with the media, said.

The PKK terrorist group is believed to be behind the attack, sources said.

Security forces who headed towards the Dicle district in the aftermath of the blast also reportedly came under attack, sources added.
