Gaza-based resistance groups fire rockets into Israel

<p>By Hedaya al-Saeedi</p> <p>GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) – Palestinian resistance factions fired several rockets on Monday night at two Israeli cities located near the blockaded Gaza Strip.</p> <p>“The cities of Sderot and Netivot were both targeted in response to Israeli airstrikes on our offices and civil institutions,” Gaza-based resistance factions said in a joint statement.</p> <p>Gaza’s Health Ministry, meanwhile, reported that at least seven Palestinians had been injured in fierce Israeli airstrikes carried out across the Hamas-run coastal enclave.</p> <p>Earlier Monday, rocket-fire emanating from the Gaza Strip reportedly left seven Israelis injured. </p> <p>In response, the Israeli army deployed missile-defense batteries in several locations across the country and sent two additional infantry brigades to the fraught Gaza-Israel buffer zone.</p>
