ANKARA (AA) – Galatasaray star Radamel Falcao sustained a thigh muscle rupture, the Turkish football club said on Wednesday.
In a statement on its website, Galatasaray said Falcao, 34, has been suffering from a partial muscle tear and bleed in his right thigh.
The Colombian forward's treatment has begun and his return is yet unknown.
Falcao was injured in a Saturday Turkish Super Lig match against Fraport TAV Antalyaspor that ended 0-0 in Istanbul.
He joined Galatasaray in 2019 from French club Monaco.
This season Falcao scored five goals in eight Turkish Super Lig matches.
