ISTANBUL (AA) – The G20 countries' finance ministers and central bank governors gathered to discuss effects of COVID-19 pandemic.

Ministers and governors tried to find ways to deal with these effects, Berat Albayrak, the Turkish finance and treasury minister, tweeted on Wednesday.

"We talked about the functioning of the collective action plan, which we have agreed for the global economic recovery," the minister added.

The plan, formed earlier in response to the pandemic, targets to improve financial assistance for countries in need through measures such as suspending debts and delivering new funds.

The COVID-19, appeared first in China last December, has spread across the world and infected millions of people globally.

The pandemic has affected several economic activities, such as tourism, travel, and manufacturing, and disrupted countries' economic stability.
