Football: Galatasaray advances to final in Turkish Cup

ANKARA (AA) – Galatasaray advanced to the Turkish Cup after beating Yeni Malatyaspor 5-2 on Thursday evening in an away match.
After a scoreless first leg in Istanbul, fans saw seven goals in Malatya as Galatasaray managed to dominate its opponent from the start of the match.
Galatasaray found an early goal with fullback Martin Linnes, and Sofiane Feghouli added another one with a magnificent shot from outside the penalty box.
Despite cutting the deficit to one just before the halftime with a penalty kick, Yeni Malatyaspor could not keep up with their opponents in the second half.
Galatasaray found two more goals with Henry Onyekuru and Kostas Mitroglou, as Yeni Malatya found a late consolation goal.
Galatasaray will face Akhisarspor in the Turkish Cup final on May 16 in Sivas.
