Europa League: Besiktas beat Torshavn 6-0 in Istanbul

ISTANBUL (AA) – Besiktas on Thursday defeated Faroese club B36 Torshavn 6-0 in the second leg match of UEFA Europa League second qualifying round in Istanbul.

Goals for Besiktas were scored by left-back Caner Erkin in 43rd minute, Canadian forward Cyle Larin in the 31st, 61st, and 79th minutes, Oguzhan Ozyakup in 74th minute and Brazilian striker Vagner Love in a last minute penalty.

Besiktas defeated Torshavn 2-0 on July 26 in the first leg match.

The Istanbul club qualified to compete in the third preliminary round in UEFA Europa League.

Earlier Wednesday, Besiktas Manager Senol Gunes said: “We enjoy a two-goal advantage from the first leg in Torshavn. It may seem a lot, but our opponents have an aggressive defense and quick forwards. ”
