ANKARA (AA) – Turkey's basketball powerhouse Anadolu Efes defeated ALBA Berlin 99-86 late Thursday to secure their lead in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
Anadolu Efes had a comfortable win without American superstar Shane Larkin while Vasilije Micic was the highest scorer with 23 points and 9 assists at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in the German capital Berlin.
Tibor Pleiss produced 18 points and 5 rebounds as Adrien Moerman scored 19 points for Anadolu Efes.
On the losing side, Martin Hermannsson scored 19 points and Rokas Giedraitis played with 17 points.
The high-flying Istanbul club have extended their unbeaten streak to 11 games with this victory.
The Istanbul club have already qualified for the playoffs with 23 wins and three defeats in 26 games.
ALBA Berlin have a 9-17 win/loss record to be in the 16th spot.
