BRUSSELS (AA) – Muslim society, with its all diversity, will play an important role in the future of Europe, said European Commission First Vice-President Frans Timmermans on Tuesday.
In a written statement, Timmermans said he would organize a roundtable meeting on Wednesday with 10 different clergyman and imams from EU countries.
Participants will come from Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, France, Italy, and the Netherlands.
“The EU Commission will always support Muslims in fulfilling their religious beliefs and traditions, ” Timmermans added.
