ANKARA (AA) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday congratulated Frank-Walter Steinmeier on his election as 12th President of Germany via telephone.
According to a presidential source, Erdogan made the remarks in a phone call when he arrived in Riyadh for a visit.
Steinmeier, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, was elected to the largely ceremonial presidential post last Sunday.
