ANKARA (AA) – The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on Friday announced that it had launched a free-to-use online learning and advice hub to help micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) during the coronavirus pandemic.

The platform provides "expert advice to manage cashflow, suppliers and staff" in a crisis, according to a statement released by the bank.

Entrepreneurs can access practical assistance, including training materials and crisis management advice from industry experts and will be able to join peer forums in the platform, which it said would serve as a central learning hub.

The EBRD will be working with partner banks and business support groups across its regions to roll out the program in 30 countries, with the aim of reaching more than 10,000 people working in SMEs.

"No matter what size your company is, the EBRD hub is designed to offer a practical helping hand," said Ines Rocha, the bank's director for SME finance and development.

The EBRD is deeply committed to assisting small businesses in these unprecedented times, she concluded.
