By Satuk Bugra Kutlugun</p> <p>ANKARA (AA) – India's cricket team on Tuesday won first-ever Test series in Australia, as their fourth test match in Sydney ended in draw on Tuesday.</p> <p>It came after the match was called off due to rain on the last day of the match, leaving India with a 2-1 triumph after wins in Adelaide and Melbourne.</p> <p>Australia had won in Perth.</p> <p>Following the historic win, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on Twitter: “A historic cricketing accomplishment in Australia! Congratulations to the Indian Cricket Team for the hard-fought and richly deserved series victory. The series witnessed some memorable performances and solid teamwork. Best wishes for the various games ahead."</p> <p>Imran Khan, a former cricket hero and Pakistani prime minister, also greeted the Indian side.</p> <p>"Congratulations to Virat Kohli and the Indian cricket team for the first ever win by a subcontinent team in a test series in Australia," he said.</p> <p>Virat Kohli led the Indian team to the victory by scoring 282 runs in the series.
