Coronavirus deaths rise in Saudi Arabia, Libya

ISTANBUL (AA) – The coronavirus pandemic claimed 33 more lives in Saudi Arabia, eight in Libya, three in Palestine and one in Kuwait, local health authorities said on Friday.

In Saudi Arabia, the Health Ministry recorded 822 new virus cases, pushing the tally in the country to 319,141, including 4,151 deaths, and 295,063 recoveries.

In Libya, the National Center for Disease Control reported 672 new cases.

In a statement, the center said the total number of coronavirus cases in the country rose to 16,445, including 262 deaths and 1,910 recoveries.

The Palestinian Health Ministry registered 806 new cases, raising the total to 32,894, including 191 deaths. The figures cover the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem.

In Kuwait, as many as 865 new cases were reported, pushing the total number to 88,243, including 537 deaths and 79,417 recoveries.

The UAE registered 612 new cases, bringing the tally to 72,766, including 387 deaths and 63,158 recoveries.
