Canadian Grand Prix canceled for June 13 in Montreal

TRENTON, Canada (AA) – The Canadian Grand Prix had the brakes applied for a second year in a row on Thursday.

Health officials in Montreal said there was too much risk of spreading the coronavirus to have the race performed June 13.

But the event may still be held at a different location.

Autoweek speculated that it could be held at Istanbul Park.

That venue was not on the original schedule for 2020, but it was added as races, like the Canadian Grand Prix, were canceled because of the pandemic.

A Grand Prix race was held there Nov. 15.
