ANKARA (AA) – Borsa Istanbul opened flat Tuesday, decreasing 17.64 points during its first transactions.
The BIST 100 index declined 0.03 percent to open at 79,914.91 points.
The indices of banking and holding sectors decreased by 0.03 percent and 0.11 percent, respectively.
The sports sector advanced the most with a 1.79 percent rise. The construction sector index saw a 0.38 percent decline.
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate, which was at 3.0710 by the time markets closed Monday, stood at 3.0800 early Tuesday.
