Blast in Armenian capital kills two, injures seven

YEREVAN, Armenia (AA) – At least two people were killed and seven others were injured in an explosion that appears to have targeted a bus in the Armenian capital of Yerevan on Tuesday, an official statement said.

Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a statement that out of the seven people injured, two were in critical condition.

The blast also damaged nearby buildings.

Local police chief Vladimir Gasparyan said the cause of the blast was being investigated.
