ANKARA (AA) – Azerbaijan's Ambassador in Ankara Hazar Ibrahim on Wednesday visited the headquarters of Anadolu Agency — Turkey’s premier news agency — in the capital Ankara.

He was received by Anadolu Agency's Director General Senol Kazanci and Deputy Director-General and Editor-in-Chief Metin Mutanoglu.

Classifying Turkey and Azerbaijan as “one nation, two states”, Ibrahim highlighted close friendly relations between the two countries.

Expressing satisfaction at the coverage of his country by the Anadolu Agency, he also lauded "brave and principled" journalistic practices employed by the agency.

He said the coverage contributes to the brotherly relations between the two countries.

Azerbaijan is among the countries where Anadolu Agency has a strong presence.

Azerbaijan's capital Baku hosts Anadolu Agency’s Russian News Department and Asian Caucasus News Department.

Founded in 1920, Anadolu Agency is a leading global news agency operating across the world. It serves to subscribers in more than 100 countries, including in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Asia-Pacific.
