ISTANBUL (AA) – World number one Simona Halep beat American Sofia Kenin to reach the third round in the Australian Open on Thursday.
The Romanian top-seeder beat Kenin in 2-1 by 6-3, 6-7(5-7), 6-4.
“I have no idea how I won, ” Halep said after the match.
Halep will face American Venus Williams in the third round.
