ANKARA (AA) – Anadolu Agency on Monday launched a “New Generation Journalists Training Program” for aspiring students of journalism.

The two-day program is the latest in a long series of such events Anadolu Agency's News Academy hosts in Ankara.

Nine students — including Afghan, Nigerian, Iraqi, Indonesian, Bangladeshi, Albanian and Moroccan nationals — who are associated with the Ankara-based Asma Kopru International Student Association have enrolled in the program.

The program will include theoretical and practical training on newswriting techniques, Anadolu Agency’s international broadcasting policies, as well as on new media and social media.

Veteran editors of Anadolu Agency’s various departments will join the program as lecturers.

Practical and theoretical lessons will be included in the training program, which has increased its cooperation with international agencies and regional media organizations in recent years.
