ANKARA (AA) – Anadolu Agency's Deputy Director-General and Editor-in-Chief Yusuf Ozhan attended the general assembly meeting of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA) on Friday.
During the online meeting, EANA Secretary-General Alexandru Ion Giboi introduced Ozhan to the members.
Ozhan thanked Giboi and Peter Kropsch, the term president of EANA and the chairman of German news agency DPA`s executive board, for their support messages following Anadolu Agency’s call to the news agency unions for solidarity after its reporters were injured by the Israeli police.
Expressing the gratitude of Serdar Karagoz, Anadolu Agency's director-general, for the EANA's support, Ozhan said the agency would be happy to share its experiences in conflict zones.
Ozhan informed EANA members about the events in Jerusalem and Gaza as well as the situation of Anadolu Agency reporters on the site.
During the meeting, the agenda of the EANA Spring Conference, which will be held in May, was discussed, and the Austrian News Agency's invitation to host the autumn meeting of the general assembly was accepted.
