Airstrikes ‘neutralize 9 PKK’ in southeast Turkey

ANKARA (AA) – Turkish armed forces neutralized nine PKK terrorists in airstrikes in southeastern Siirt province on Friday, according to an official military statement.

In the written statement, Turkish General Staff said the airstrikes were launched in the morning that also destroyed two shelters and a weapons pit in Pervari district of the province.

More than 1,200 victims, including security personnel and civilians, have lost their lives in PKK attacks in Turkey since the terror group resumed its decades-old campaign in July 2015.

According to Turkish defense minister, over 10,000 terrorists have been killed in military-led operations since July 2015.
