ANKARA (AA) – Six PKK terrorists were “neutralized” during air operations in northern Iraq, the Turkish army said on Tuesday.
Turkish authorities often use the word “neutralized ” in their statements to imply that the terrorists in question were either killed or captured.
Turkish jets hit terror targets on Monday and Tuesday in northern Iraq's Zap, Hakurk, Gara, Avasin-Basyan and Kani Rash regions, the Turkish General Staff said in a statement.
Nine shelters and a ropeway used by the terrorists were also destroyed.
In its more than 30-year terrorist campaign against Turkey, the PKK — listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU — has been responsible for the death of nearly 40,000 people.
