WASHINGTON (AA) – Two students were shot dead Thursday at a high school in Aztec, New Mexico, according to authorities.
New Mexico State Police confirmed on Twitter the fatalities as well as the death of the suspected shooter at Aztec High School. The school has been evacuated and there are currently no known additional casualties, police added.
“At this time police believe there are no other credible threats to students, ” they added.
FBI and state police crime scene teams are expected to arrive on the scene shortly, according to the San Juan County Sheriff's Office.
Parents are being asked to pick up their children at nearby McGee Park, it added on Facebook.
