"David Beckham has been confirmed as the final Premier League Hall of Fame inductee of 2021," Premier League said in a statement.

The former England right midfielder produced 80 assists in the league as well.

Beckham was a longtime Manchester United player until 2003, when he moved to Spain's Real Madrid, his first overseas experience.

Similar to Beckham, Liverpool's former captain and club legend Steven Gerrard, 40, was also picked as the Premier League Hall of Fame inductee.

"Liverpool legend voted into Hall of Fame after 120 goals and 92 assists in a stellar PL career," the league said.

Gerrard bagged 504 Premier League appearances in 1998-2015. He played for Liverpool for 17 years.

He was also a former England regular.

Gerrard is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Rangers, where he became the 2021 Scottish champion.

So Beckham and Gerrard joined Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, Dennis Bergkamp and Frank Lampard to have the Premier League's most prestigious individual honor each.
