Turkish stocks rise 1.24% at Monday close

ANKARA (AA) – Turkey's benchmark stock index closed the day at 107,309.87 points on Monday, up 1.24% from the previous close.

BIST 100 index started the day at 108,379.28 points. As of the daily close, it gained 1,316.22 points from last week's close of 105,993.65 points.

The price of one ounce of gold was around $1,609.00 by market close, down from $1,627.00 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $50.50 per barrel as of 6 p.m. (1500GMT) on Monday.
