ISTANBUL (AA) – A border guard has been killed in a shootout in western Iran near border with Iraq, according to the semi-official Fars News Agency on Monday.
Iranian forces traded fire with gunmen in Kurdistan province's Bani village in western Iran late Sunday, the news agency said.
The assailants have not been yet identified.
