ANKARA (AA) – Canadian tennis player Bianca Andreescu was eliminated by French Alize Cornet in the first round of Wimbledon on Wednesday.
The 21-year-old lost two sets straight 6-2 and 6-1 in her second Wimbledon appearance.
The No.5 seed won her only Grand Slam title with her victory against tennis legend Serena Williams in 2019 US Open.
Cornet, 32, participated in many Grand Slam tournaments since 2005, but could not secure any titles yet.
