Zenit's Andrew Albicy hits game winner over Fenerbahce

ANKARA (AA) – Turkish basketball powerhouse Fenerbahce Beko was defeated by Russia's Zenit Saint Petersburg 84-81 in a Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Round 15 game Thursday.

Zenit's French guard Andrew Albicy scored a go-ahead 3-pointer with 2.6 seconds remaining in a hard-fought game to bring victory to his team at Istanbul’s Ulker Sports Arena.

For the losing side, Joffrey Lauvergne was the highest scorer on the court, with 18 points and four rebounds.

Nikola Kalinic produced 16 points and four assists while Kostas Sloukas played with 13 points and six assists for Fenerbahce Beko.

Mateusz Ponitka was the highest scorer for Zenit Saint Petersburg with 16 points and eight assists.

Gustavo Ayon and Albicy each produced 12 points to help their team to victory.

Fenerbahce Beko are having a disappointing performance in the EuroLeague this season, recording only five wins and 10 defeats to be in 15th place.

Zenit Saint Petersburg are in 17th spot with four wins and 11 losses.
