UPDATE – Fire breaks out in Russian Central Bank building

MOSCOW (AA) – A fire broke out in the Russian Central Bank building in Moscow on Friday evening, according to the Russian Ministry of the Emergency Situations.

The fire is located on the fifth floor, a ministry representative told journalists on the conditions of anonymity.

“The fire in the building of the Central bank on Neglinnaya Street has been completely put out. The area of the fire was 30 square meters, the fire started in one of the working cabinets on the fifth floor”, he said.

No casualities have been reported.

An investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched.
