Turkish wrestler bags silver in world championships

ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkish wrestler Aysegul Ozbege won a silver medal in the Senior U23 World Wrestling Championships on Thursday in Romania.

In the Romanian capital of Bucharest, Ozbege won a silver medal in women's 76-kg (167.5-pound) category.

In the final, China's Paliha Paliha beat Ozbege, claiming the gold medal.

Turkey's Buse Tosun also will compete in the women's 72-kg (158.7 pound) final against Romanian Alexandra Nicoleta Anghel on Friday.

The championships will continue till Sunday.
