ANKARA – Turkey’s female national team won Underwater Rugby World Junior Championship which was held from Nov. 14 to 18 in Oberhausen, Germany.
Turkish Underwater Sports Federation (TSSF) said in a statement on Sunday that the national team defeated Colombia 1-0 in finals, claiming the gold medal.
Male team played against Norway in a final match at the championship. Defeating the Norwegians 4-1, the Turkish team claimed third title, winning bronze medal.
Colombia's men's team claimed gold medal after 2-1 a victory over Germany in the event.
