ANKARA (AA) – Turkey's chicken meat production dropped 16.1 percent year-on-year in August, Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) said on Friday..
According to TurkStat, chicken egg production in the country increased 3 percent in August, compared to the same month last year.
“Hen egg production increased by 5.2 percent in August compared with the previous month, and increased by 3 percent compared with the same month of the previous year, ” it said.
On a monthly basis chicken meat production slipped of 17.6 percent in August.
TurkStat added that turkey meat production rose 1.4 percent year-on-year, however on monthly basis it saw a decrease of 25.8 percent.
