ANKARA (AA) – A major Turkish opposition party leader on Monday was discharged from a hospital in the capital Ankara.

In the morning Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahceli had gone to Baskent University Hospital complaining of nausea.

“His general condition is pretty good, he will be discharged soon,” Health Minister Fahrettin Koca told reporters in front of the hospital.

Koca stressed that he does not require an overnight stay at hospital.

Bahceli, 71, has suffered from an upper respiratory tract infection and will receive necessary treatment at his home, he added.

Bahceli was discharged after receiving five hours of treatment at the hospital.

Both Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and main opposition party leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu wished Bahceli a speedy recovery.
