Turkish parliament's head meets Azerbaijani counterpart

ANKARA (AA) – Turkey’s parliament speaker Mustafa Sentop on Friday met with his Azerbaijani counterpart Sahibe Gafarova in the capital Ankara.

In a statement before the meeting, Sentop reminded that the relations between the two countries are based on the fundamental principle of "two states, one nation."

He noted that Turkey supports Azerbaijan on occupied Upper Karabakh issue in every platform, the Azerbaijani territories illegally occupied by Armenian forces.

For her part, Gafarova said that the relations between the two countries should be further strengthened.

"Our youth are the future of both Azerbaijan and Turkey," she said.
