Turkish parliamentary speaker leaves for Uzbekistan

ANKARA (AA) – Turkish Parliament Speaker Binali Yildirim on Sunday praised relations with Uzbekistan ahead of his official visit to the country’s capital Tashkent.

Speaking at a news conference at Esenboga Airport in the capital Ankara, Yildirim stressed that relations between Turkey and Uzbekistan were developing “rapidly”.

“In fact, Turkey-Uzbekistan relations have developed into a high-level strategic cooperation,” he added.

As part of his first official visit to Uzbekistan, Yildirim is to meet Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov and other officials.

Yildirim will also attend a ceremony marking the delivery of mobile ambulance and service vehicles by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).
