Turkish envoy to Uganda recalled over dress controversy

ANKARA (AA) – Turkish Ambassador to Uganda Sedef Yavuzalp was summoned to Ankara after footage of Republic Day reception on Oct. 29 drew a public criticism, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Saturday.

In a Twitter post, Cavusoglu said an investigation was launched after footage of Yavuzalp appeared in some media outlets and social media.

The outfit of Yavuzalp during the reception had stirred controversy.
